Working Together in Health, Safety and the Environment

Manual Handling Assessments

The effect of manual handling injuries on the UK workforce will have an economic effect on every company. With over 50 million days a year lost to back injuries, an effective pro-active manual handling policy is an essential part of any business plan. Such a policy will start with assessments of manual handling risks.

This course will review the general requirements to assess risk under the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1992, and will then focus on manual handling activities with models and practical exercises using assessment forms.
