(PUWER)
As part of the original "6
pack" of European derived regulations, the Provision and Use
of Work Equipment Regulations, have had a significant impact
on workplace safety. Combining both the practical controls
of machinery, together with the wider risk assessment
requirements for all equipment used in the workplace.
Recently amended, the new PUWER further enhance these
requirements with important additions.
This course will cover the background
to PUWER, and introduce an approach to risk assessments for
work equipment. The requirements for safeguarding dangerous
parts of machinery and control systems will also be
covered.

Anyone who has responsibility for
workplace equipment and, safety practitioners, managers,
supervisors, etc. who will be involved with the
implementation of risk assessments and safety procedures for
work equipment.
